what's not protected
The two masonry structures, Hart's Mill and the Adelaide Milling Company mill, are protected, but the buildings that make up the rest of the complex, that were built at the same time for the same purpose, have no protection at all. The reason for this is that they are made of corrugated iron and for some unknown reason, this material doesn't rate as highly on the heritage protection scale. Without public support for these buildings, they will be demolished.
